We are lucky enough to be visiting my daughter in Copenhagen where she has been studying abroad since August. We spent the first two nights attempting to sleep on the floor of her dorm ( since hotels are so expensive and there was no availability at the bed & breakfast) before moving into a bed and breakfast. (They call it a bed & breakfast but its really just a bed since breakfast is only served on weekends and costs extra). She warned us how expensive Copenhagen could be and recommended that we cook and eat at her place as much as possible. Handy Manny ( my non English speaking hubby) cooked the first two nights ( yes he cooks too). Last night my daughter insisted she wanted to cook for us. She ended up cooking a delicious pasta meal for us. There was something so memorable about being in this beautiful city, watching my little girl who is now a woman cooking, and enjoying our meal on the floor of her dorm by candlelight. This is how memories are made.
